Kreidezeit Lime Paint

A natural, matt paint similar to that of an emulsion paint.

Price range: £3.50 through £61.40 + VAT

Lime Paint by Kreidezeit offers the benefits of traditional limewash but can be used on a wider range of substrates, such as concrete and gypsum.

Lime Paint is a versatile wall paint for interior and exterior use and is easy to use – even by non-professionals.

Lime Paints distinguish themselves due to enormous binding and adhesive capabilities, resulting in wipe-proof and splash-proof surfaces. Furthermore, only two applications are needed to cover sufficiently.

The marble sands in Lime Paint Textured give smooth surfaces a fine plaster texture. It results in an ideal sub-surfaces for vivid wall glazes. It can also even out slight structural differences from the underlying surface.

Application

Apply a base coat to all renders, fillers, levelled drywall, concrete and old emulsion paints with Vega Primer (internal applications only) or Casein Primer and leave to dry completely.
Do not apply to paper fleece/wallpaper.

Do not apply below 8°C.

Stir the product thoroughly before use. Immediately remove paint splashes on adjacent components with water. For full opacity, apply at least 2 coats of paint – possibly 3 for very coarse substrates.
Do not try to cover dark and high-contrast substrates with only one coat of paint; excessive application thicknesses can lead to damage to the paint!
When wet, the paint is translucent and full coverage is achieved after drying.

Stir up paint occasionally during application.

We recommend application with a brush in a crisscross pattern.
White lime paints can also be rolled on slightly absorbent surfaces. Work swiftly “wet-on-wet” in a crisscross pattern and then roll the surface in one direction.
It’s not advisable to roll tinted Lime Paints.
